Have you heard of Hypercharge Unboxed?

Hello everyone,

I recently stumbled upon a game called Hypercharge Unboxed and I was wondering if any of you have heard of it or played it before. I have heard that it has the fabled split screen mode that has been missing from so many games these days and I am very interested in giving it a try.

For those of you who may not know, Hypercharge Unboxed is a first-person & third person shooter game that was released in 2020 for PC and Nintendo Switch. It is set in a world where toys come to life and battle it out in miniature environments. The game allows you to play with up to four friends in split-screen mode or up to eight players online. It has also recently release with a story campaign as well!

I am really excited about the prospect of playing a game with split screen mode, as it is something that has been missing from so many games in recent years. It's a feature that I believe can really add to the overall gaming experience and make for a more social and enjoyable time with friends.

So, has anyone here played Hypercharge Unboxed? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts on it. What did you like or dislike about the game? Was the split screen mode as good as advertised? Would you recommend it to others?

And for those of you who haven't played it, are you interested in giving it a try? Do you think split-screen mode is a feature that should be brought back to more games?

Looking at the content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcjUWKOcbto

It looks really interesting - big Toy Story / Toy Soldiers vibes.

I think the Split Screen does work well - situationally. But honestly, in the world of today - gaming has become a much more solitary environment.

Which sucks.

Sure you still have your friends you play with, but you play alone at home to play with them... Unless you are playing something like Mario Party or Mario Kart. The switch is great for that portability and multiplayer-ness.

What I would do to go back to the days of Split Screen PS2 / Xbox 360 - playing Twisted Metal, SSX Tricky, Halo and so many more.
