R9 380 gaming doesn't work anymore with amddriver

Since a month suddendly when playing a game, black screen, wierd noise through headset, pc reboot.

Windows 10 starts, when loading amd driver, again black screen, reboot, windows damaged. recover, same again.

Card out of pc, windows 10 works again.

Replaced r9 380 with a amd rx 580. Seems to work again for a few minutes in CSGO.

No tempfail or something, nothing in eventlog windows, but same effect, power goes off and on again, and pc reboots again.

Now tested R9 380 in clean system W10, working with Microsoft basic display-driver, even high res.

Installing latest AMD driver and during last bit of installation, again black screen and reboot.

Windows 10 demaged again. Recover from that, amd driver is removed and works again.

What is going on? Never seen something like this. Also seen in other community forums the same problem but no solution.

Someone in here a solution?

All Non-RX GPUs are not supported with AMD drivers anymore.

Here is the last AMD Driver for the R9-380 GPU card from 06/2022: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-r9-series/amd-radeon-r9-300-series/amd-radeon-r9-...

Here is the latest AMD Driver for the RX580 GPU card: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580

First I would uninstall your current AMD Driver for the GPU card installed using DDU with internet disconnected and deleting AMD Driver Installation folder at C:\AMD to prevent corruption when installing new driver.

If same thing occurs, try changing the GPU card to a different PCIe x16 is one is available. In case the PCIe slot is defective.

Test the GPU card in another computer to see if the same thing occurs. If it does than most likely you have a defective GPU card.

With just the MS Basic Display Adapter enabled and AMD Driver removed run OCCT CPU,GPU, & PSU tests and see if it crashes.

Possibly you might have a defective hardware or overheating hardware or power issue.

Didn't solve problem. On installation on software on finishing the driver switches the card off. Black screen.

DDU done, reboot, installing amd driver as above, last part, black screen, card is powered down,

Windows 10 restart, loading windows, with init of displaydriver, again card power off and nothing.

And why AMD doesn't support the RX anymore? A lot of people still got the RX series.

AMD still supports all RX GPU cards (RX400,RX500.,RX600. and newer) but not those that are not RX family like the R5,R7 or R9 GPU cards and all HD xxxx GPU cards as an example.

Trouble is if you have both the RX580 and R9 380 in the same PC the RX580 driver may not be compatible with the R9 380 GPU card and vice versa.

NOTE: Looking at both the R9 380 and RX580 Release Notes shows that neither AMD Driver is compatible with both GPU cards.

Cards are not at the same time in the pc. And if you go and get driver from AMD drivers & solutions you get a also driver for the R9 380. But not working at all. So i say major mistake AMD.
