For several months I'm playing DayZ with my friends. Because of poor game optimization and playing modded server I decided to make some upgrades.
Replaced my R5 2600X with R7 5800X - gained pretty nice boost.
Next my old GTX 980 Ti was replaced with RX 6700 XT. What a dissapoint when 9 years old gpu works better than brand new high-end card.
I already did huge research about that, and the results are terryfing. For approximately over 3 years users reporting issue with poor GPU utilization in cities/highly object thickened locations in DayZ.
I am currently forced to use almost 3 years old drivers (21.11.3) - still getting max. 30-40% utilization in those previously discussed locations, but it's already better than 20-30 % on newest drivers.
Current spec below:
- AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- Corsair Vengeance RGB RS 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
- XFX SWIFT 309 Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB
- M.2 Kingston SNVS500 500GB (dedicated for games)
DayZ on 1080p, low settings.
Just hope that AMD do something with that, because it's common issue, occuring on every 5000/6000/7000 cards in DayZ.
By the way, maybe after these years anyone find better drivers or some magic tweaks?
