AMD Display Adapter causing flickering in Windows 11

I have AMD Ryzen 3 5300U with Radeon Graphics.

The problem is that the latest display driver, named AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics: version 30.0.13044.0, is causing the display flickering problem.

If I uninstall this, I could no longer see the flickering effect. But my ability to brighten the screen is gone. Now as I am typing this, I am using the Microsoft Basic Display Driver. And the flickering is still there, but less frequent.

What should I do? Is there any fix?

Since this is a 5300U, I assume this is for a laptop? In that case, if you don't need the latest AMD driver for something specific, go with the latest driver on the support page from the manufacturer of your laptop. Those are usually tailor made for your system specifically and thoroughly tested to work for you.

Otherwise you can try things like lowering the refresh rate of the display (if applicable), or disabling FreeSync to see if that makes a difference.
