Radeon ProRender vs Cycles

Hi,

I have bought the eGFX Breakaway Puck Radeon RX 570 to use with my MacBook Air and I have installed the RPR (Blender don't like the AMD cards... :// )

The results are not equal to Cycles ... perhaps is because I didn’t know the correct settings ... Cycles results are better... RPR results are "different".

The final Cycles Render looks like this:

emply_project_01

Bender with Radeon Pro Render - RPR:

(with RPR I have problems with the shadows)

What settings I have to change do make this very better?

Many thanks

Best regards,
Ricardo Figueira

What Version of ProRender are you using?

It seems to me, that you use a shadow catcher under the cube? This was an issue with an older version of RPR in my case as well. Updating to the latest version fixed this problem.

Hi Ricardo.

Thanks, the renderer is different so the result should be slightly different.  However it seems there is a light that is lower intensity or the shadows from it are off.  Can you attach the scene?

Hi bsavery,

Here is the file: Dropbox - emply_project_01.blend

Can you please, see what is wrong and put the correct settings?

I want to migrate from Cycles to ProRender

Many thanks
