Cryptomatte is open source and would be very nice for compositing frames from RPR better and consistent in a pro workflow.
In short, it makes easier to select things in comp (nuke, fusion and as it seems, quite a few more in the future)
It is a feature that would be great to have but there are of course more fundamental features that should come before that.
Would at least be interesing to hear others stance on this
