I installed cat 10.8 and stream 2.2 today and after that opencl doesn't work...
In this tool http://www.ngohq.com/graphic-cards/16920-directcompute-and-opencl-benchmark.html error:
http://img3.imagebanana.com/img/pxkdspnm/11.jpg
In oclhashcat
ERROR: clBuildProgram() -11
I'm trying few catalyst version and stream v2.01 but every time same error. It work fine before, but now I can't fix it ;/ Help me
Regards
Try checking out the build log. Add this to the code right after clBuildProgram();
I personally use the C++ bindings, and haven't used C in a while. So someone please correct that code if it's wrong.
Good Luck
-Chris
printf(clGetProgramBuildInfo(/* Program Variable */, /* device variable */, CL_PROGRAM_BUILD_LOG, 0, NULL, NULL));
Kasper93,
Error -11 means there are compilation errors. Please see buildlog info as sir.um said.
Are you getting error for cpu or gpu?
Are you able run any sample coming from sdk?
I got the same error with same driver and SDK. The build log said:
"Internal compiler error
Please check if the system setup is correct."
Or something very similar
Edit: I got this message when compiling onto 5970 under Ubuntu 9.10

Are you getting same error for all samples? Are you able run samples on CPU? Are you able run any cal samples?
In Stream KernelAnalyzer:
http://img3.imagebanana.com/img/juelmvn9/CL.png
When I run any sample:
BUILD LOG
************************************************
Internal error: Compilation init failed.
************************************************
Error: clBuildProgram failed. Error code : CL_BUILD_PROGRAM_FAILURE
Sorry, but I'm not advanced user. I think it's something wrong with stream installation, but I don't know what.

Could you please uninstall your SDK and reinstall? Before reinstalling remove all files in side Program Files\ATI Stream folder and /My Documents/ATI Stream folder.
I get the following message when compiling onto both gpu and cpu. All tests produce this output, except for PCIeBandwidth, which of course does not compile a kernel.
I now have Ubuntu 10.04 , Catalyst 10.8 , SDK 2.2 , nou's package
nou's pavkage seemed to be missing clc installed in /bin/xx86_64, so I put a symlink there pointing to /usr/local/bin/x86_64/clc which is the place where nou's package installs. Could it be that something else is missing that the compiler can only tell this way?
Edit: CAL tests work fine, FindNumDevices return correct number (6), and CreateContext exits correctly.
BUILD LOG ************************************************ Internal error: Link failed. Make sure the system setup is correct. ************************************************
this is most likely thatenviroment vriable ATISTREAMSDKROOT is not setup properly.
check echo $ATISTREAMSDKROOT
and check content of /etc/profile.d/ati-opencl.sh
Thanks, now it is working properly. Does your .deb package read this variable when installing, is that why clc was missing from the correct place or was that a different problem?
no it don't read. in /etc/profile.d/ should be script which set ATISTREAMSDK to /usr/local. to my knowledge AMD OpenCL implementation just call $ATISTREAMSDKROOT/bin/x86_64/clc.
it seems to problem with setting this enviroment variable.

Kasper93,
Could you please post following information about your system?
1. OS with service pack

Passed!
@jgu222
Of course 64bit. Path values are standard set by the installer.
Could you do 'set LOG_LEVEL=5' and run your application again ? Could you get what .dlls are loaded when running your program ?
Ignore LOG_LEVEL.
Have you tried to compile any simple program other than running samples ?
WOW - Problem fixed!
Very wired thing. I boot to linux and run some opencl programs after that I boot to windows and now it's work!!
It is possible that it was hardware problem? (something in card
*light*)
Were you running 32bit samples or 64bit samples ? Your path has 64bit bin in the front. Make sure you are running 64bit samples. (By the way, it is better not to mix 64bit path with 32bit path).
