Is it possible for multiple AMD Instinct™ MI300X platforms be connected together?
AMD Forum's Moderator for Professional GPUs @fsadough can probably assist in answering your question.
Please provide more information on your computer setup and how all the Instinct cards will be used.
We have developed a rack mounted 4U enclosure, which utilizes a high flow internal circulation full immersion liquid cooling solution. We believe that it is possible to place 2 MI300X platform systems inside with a total 16 MI300X GPUs aimed at the AI markets ect. This enclosure can handle more that 48000 BTUs of heat. Thanks for your help. Clay
This is definitely a question for AMD Moderator @fsadough . Hopefully he will answer soon but he might be on a Holiday vacation.
Thanks for your help! Clay
All OAM Modules MI250 and MI300 Series are only available over our partners with a complete system, e.g. GCT (Gigabyte) , Supermicro, HPE, Lenovo, Eviden, etc. We are not selling those modules as a retail product. Those modules are very complex and require full integration with the system.
Is there an integration partner that you could recommend for this full immersion project?
I already did:
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, I don't have specific information on the AMD Instinct™ MI300X platform. However, in general, many GPUs, including those from AMD, can be connected in a multi-GPU setup using technologies like AMD CrossFire or NVIDIA NVLink for specific applications. To know the exact capabilities and support for multiple AMD Instinct™ MI300X platforms, please refer to the official AMD documentation, user manuals, or contact AMD support for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
