Ryzen 7 - Fatal Error - Reported by component: Processor Core

    lucretin

I built my new PC on Thursday. Played Destiny 2 for about 6+ hours on Friday when my computer suddenly restarted itself.

Booted it back up and continued for a few more hours without issue.

Saturday morning I played for about 30 minutes with the same restart.

I checked the Event Viewer and found this for both occasions:

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

      Reported by component: Processor Core

      Error Source: Machine Check Exception

      Error Type: Bus/Interconnect Error

      Processor APIC ID: 0

Later Saturday night I ran a Prime95 for about 25 minutes and got the same restart and error.

I ran memtest overnight for 11 hours (3 passes) with 0 errors

Is this truely a DOA CPU (Processor Core)? Could it also be the motherboard (Bus/Interconnect Error)?

No overclocking and temps seems reasonable. Highest I've seen on gpu is 71 and cpu around 50

Any help troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated. I am at a loss.

Update: got the same crash after 2 hours 15 mins with a different PSU, so I don't think the PSU is at fault.
