    HD7990 - 1 Monitor Out Of 4 Not Going To Sleep - 17.7.2

With a four monitor (2x2) Eyefinity display group, after installing the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, only the designated main display will now enter power saving mode (sleep).  Prior to the update, all monitors entered sleep mode simultaneously, with all 4 displays off and the display power button LEDs slowly blinking (indicating sleep status).  Now, only the main display sleeps as before.  The other three monitors go blank but not off, and the displays' backlights and power button LEDs stay on continuously.  Is anyone else seeing this behavior?  Any solutions?

        • Re: Win10 Fall Creators Update - 3 of 4 monitors fail to sleep

Problem solved.  The solution was to uninstall and reinstall the graphics driver (Radeon Crimson 17.7.1).  After the reinstall, all four monitors entered power save mode (sleep) normally.  So, if you install the Win10 Fall Creators Update and then have monitor sleep problems, try uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics driver before trying anything else.  BTW, I also tried driver 17.10.2, and it caused the process of creating an Eyefinity display group to hang, leaving blank screens, so 17.10.2 was not usable for me.
