I just like to know if RX470 support the directgma feature. If so is there a way to verify if it is working. Thanks.
Pro cards from the various whitepapers/tech reports i found ? fsadough would be the person for that query.
RX470 is a consumer board and not a workstation card. DirectGMA is specific to Workstation boards.
Thanks fsadough. This meant should save up for the Radeon Pro W4100. I am a IRONCAD user and was wondering if there are real benefits to go down this route. I just replaced my 1700 cpu with 1700X, just to have a bump on base speed and max turbo clock.
Radeon Pro WX4100 supports DirectGMA and is currently cheaper than RX470
If you need the exact board like RX470 in workstation version, it would be Radeon Pro WX5100
I got my RX470 4GDR5 to replace a R7 370 4GDR5 for 260AUD, currently the WX4100 is about 479AUD while the WX5100 is about 615AUD. WX3100 is about 309AUD but it may not make the cut as I am using a dual 1080 display. Usually work on less than 2000 parts and about a 50 sheet associated drawing file. I've done a specviewperf on the RX470 and drops off on the SNX-02/SW-03 test compared with other modules of the specviewpref. So I am assuming that both SNX-02/SW-03 benefit from directgma.
One reason why I stick with AMD cards is that I am able to run my Adobe Illustrator 9 while the competitor GPU won't since 400 series above. I do appreciate your patience on my query.
