Crashes during games

Question asked by paperlate777 on Dec 21, 2016

I just bought Sapphire Nitro + RX 480 4GB. Installed it and fresh install of graphics driver (used DDU) and 16.12.1 driver.

It starts up fine and no problems. However, when playing certain games like Just Cause 3 or Half-life 2, the computer screen turns black. The game is still running in the background (can hear sound), but nothing on screen. After waiting a few minutes, I have to reboot as windows does not shut down the driver. What is interesting is that in other games such as Just Cause 2, Torchlight 2, or Batman Arkham series, it runs extremely well, with no crashes. Any ideas? Wattman is default settings. Fan runs during gameplay and temperature is at 75C.
