Is this correct?
INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION
Sorry, couldn't resist.
OS Win7 64bit/AMD R9 290 4gb/ Processor I7-960
Ray_m wins the internet today.
Everyone have this issue.
I think no need any additional information for this.
I think the message says it all, if you have no settings to change it doesn't start. Mine started as I only had one thing to change the color depth.
"" if you have no settings to change it doesn't start""
Wish that was so...unfortunately it's not. I have settings to change there ... and it's not opening for me or the others who have posted here.
Radeon Additional Settings will only function if there are settings you can change.
I think, this is the correct answer for the asked question here. But now, could you explain this one : https://community.amd.com/message/2766917#comment-2766917
Where did all the other advanced options has gone (the one available in crimson version before relive) ?
Hmmm....well where are these settings located in the new ReLive driver suite?
So you're connected via DVI ?
I'll forward this info to the team.
Especially since one of these choices is selected by default.
My display(Benq GL2450) also connected via DVI.
I can not open additional settings in 16.12.1, in early version(16.7.3~16.11.5) additional settings all works.
so they removed everything from additional settings, and only if you're connected through hdmi or dp you get depth of color options and the additional settings open.
so that still sucks for everyone, not just for dvi users. i want my saturation slide back!
I am also connected via DVI. I am on my knees while I type this: PLEASE forward the registry entries (or file to modify) that map to the now-unavailable DVI options "Reduce DVI frequency..." and also "Alternate DVI..." and the values that correspond to "checked".
My card (AMD R7-370) will sporadically starting blinking the entire screen until video eventually turns off. I've tried a bunch of things and this is my last hope. I really don't want to throw away this video card!
The same issue here.
Upgraded from 16.11.5.
GPU: Powercolor RX460 2G
OS: Windows 10 64bit 1670
Driver: Crimson ReLive 16.12.1
Display: Benq GL2450 1920x1080@60Hz DVI
I see this as well, but I don't know of any setting that I normally use Radeon Additional Settings for that hasn't been moved to the default Radeon Settings. No problem for me =)
There are some settings that I use...alt DVI,etc.
Just curious, what do those settings do? Wonder if I'm missing out on something useful...
I want to use some DVI settings too.
There are two DVI mode options in "additional settings" (you can see the options at this post):
I can say maybe there is no different whatever I set, but if AMD want to close "additional settings" part, why the option still in Radeon settings is a question.
So I think it is a bug.
I get the same message on Windows 7 64 bit, 260X 2GB, X4 20 (720 BE).
Mine opens, but I don't have the option to config saturation, bright , etc, only pixel format, any help please?
What happens when you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\CNext\CCCSlim and run ccc.exe directly?
I tried what you said, but got the same prompt.
same here, win 10 64bit clean install.
doesn't run from program files, also hasn't updated in the last driver.
What we can do for this work?
AMD will fix it......Everybody needs to report it > AMD Issue Reporting Form
Actually the same question! Where did the additional settings? Why the developers unfair ? Are unable to just make additional settings! I need to be mandatory and an authoritative tone to return these settings back! Without saturation and contrast,I will never use more AMD drivers! Just get and sell the AMD and go NVIDIA! At least there did not take away the options of saturation and contrast! (Sorry for the translation Yandex, I'm from Russia)
So I did:
Programs - Uninstall the old 16.11.5 driver (Which had working Radeon Additional Settings) .
Install the new 'ReLive' Driver using Express install settings, and installed ReLive.
I did not even get the Popup you see. Radeon Settings were completely missing.
Just now I did the following instead.
Programs - Uninstall the new 'ReLive' Driver.
Download and run the AMD Cleanup Utility,
Install the new 'ReLive' Driver using Custom install settings, selecting everything, and installed ReLive.
Now it works.
Hope this helps someone.
System Informaition at the end.
Windows 8,1 64bit.
GPU1 PowerColor R9 Nano
GPU2 XFX R9 Nano.
Motherboard ASUS Z87 Deluxe Dual.
CPU i7 4770K.
Primary Hard Drive Crucial 960GB SSD
Memory 32 GB (4*4GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical LP.
i actually did the same, but slim install, no ReLive, it's working now, but tons of features are missing, including saturation! it's annoying to watch my computer so bereft of life.
I am missing the saturation settings too.
Same here. I hope it's just a glich, not a silly idea.
I tried your steps , done AMD Cleanup Utility, but still no luck.
Anyway thanks, I will wait for next release.
Were you on Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 or Windows 7?
Windows 10 1607 64bit
Have you guys tried out the new Clean Install option from the new installer?
Yes.. and continue not working..
I hate this colors at moment
And AMD dont say nothing about this..if go fix or no
Yes. No difference.
Yes I already tried 3 time to install this driver:
First install I upgraded from 16.11.5
Second install, I use clean install option on 16.12.1 installer
Third install, I use AMD cleanup utility tool
All the same result.
I am not going to clean install Win10, so tired to do that.
I just did clean Win 10 install.
No Radeon Additional Settings are there.
Mine worked but the only thing I can change is the Preferred Color Depth from either 8 or 6.
I just tried an initial installation of Crimson Relive on a new installation of Windows 10 64bit on the same PC with the same CPU/GPUs etc.
In otherwords I simply swapped my Main OS Drives.
Result = Radeon Additional Settings does not work on Windows 10 64bit for me.
Thinking back to early Crimson 'Hotfix' releases, sometimes the Radeon Additional Settings was simply "forgotten".
i.e. it was completely missing from the installer files. It used to be called CCCSlim.exe or something like that.
I will take a copy of the Windows 10 Installation Files, go Back to Windows 8.1 64bit, and complare whats in the Installer directory.
I FIXED THIS PROBLEM....Well for now at least I know I couldn't stand this new update so i just did what any normal person would do and go back to the one just before it where everything worked! All i had to do was uninstall the new crappy one and installed the older one and now everything in advanced in back to normal!
Hope this helps!!

I think this is not a FIX.
Can't open Radeon Additional Settings...Part 3 A FIX !!
i just got a response from AMD saying they're not planning on bringing these features back, because you can change them from windows or your monitor.
that's a stupid decision, forcing people who don't get the result they want from those options to either live with it, or spend more money replacing their monitors.again, that is STUPID! and bad for business, i, for the first time in my life, will apparently buy my next card from NVIDIA, because they still have those features, and don't screw their customers.
Well that's a shame Thanks for passing it on..
I am still using the newest drivers with the older control panel so I can have those settings. Works for me...
yeah, i just used the fix you posted a while back, oh how i missed the vibrant colors.
i just hope they see the error of that decision before they lose more customers.
Many peoples' monitor colour are not good after its best settings. They need driver settings for brightness and colours. That's why this is the basic and must features from long time dirver history in AMD or NVIDIA.
