Why is Google Chrome making my overclock settings run at stock setting when running, then back to my personal settings when I close it?

Overclock runs stable no problems when gaming, decent temps so this cant be a preventive measure. Whenever google chrome is running, my 7950 runs at its stock settings (As monitored by hardware monitor) and will then continue to run at what i set it to when I close it down. This is a pain as I have 2 Monitors, so i would like to keep Chrome running while i game. My overclock gives me a really good boost in frames and is essential for me to use. Is this possibly a Crimson bug?
