If the Gpu crashes regardless of the driver/operating system version there are 2 main causes:
1.a nasty power supply that does not deliver enough power to the gpu and it crashes
2.a failing video card.

My thoughts exactly.
A ~500w PSU with 28A minimum through the 12v rail is needed to run the r9 380, though it also depends on the PSU quality and efficiency as well. Are both 6-pin pcie power connectors firmly attached to the gpu card ? Check please (with pc powered off).
