It builds on the FireRays intersection testing library, and follows the same hardware and OS neutral approach. It works on CPU, GPU, and CPU+GPU. Behind the scenes it uses OpenCL 1.2 to accelerate calculations. So it should work on any hardware that has OpenCL 1.2 support, not just AMD hardware.
