AMD SATA Controller Windows 10 Driver

I thought I'd post this here in case anyone else has similar problems and maybe this will catch AMD's attention and they can update the driver.

I have an Asus K53TA laptop with an A8-3500m APU. It uses an AMD SATA Controller. I noticed after upgrading to Windows 10 that my SSD was very slow and my DVD drive didn't show up in my computer, and in device manager it was listed under "Other devices". I did a fresh install of Windows 10 and still had the same problem.

I finally narrowed it down to the AHCI driver Windows 10 installs for the AMD SATA Controller. I downloaded and installed the latest AMD chipset driver 15.7.1, but the installer doesn't update the AHCI driver. I had to manually update the driver in device manager and point it to where the installer extracted the drivers. Once I did that it works fine.
