Hello community, I feel obliged to express my dissenting. I have always sympathized more AMD products than the competecia, I have unfortunately reached a point where it can not be used even in the least to play my r9 290 under any distro GNU / Linux ...

What I bajonea is little commitment to AMD about it, and I see the future I do not feel that this will change. Sorry, because I think that this is not good. But I'm here ready to give a solution to this issue (if it's just me).

Currently I am on ubuntu 14.04, all updates daily. I'm the last proprietary driver, but to be honest I do not feel improvement.

Someone could provide some guidance or recommendations to consider, and I want to play titles steam with the native client, and others that I have in origin with wine.

PD: Every game I try to run work correctly in my notebook with a nv gt750m optimus tecnologie.

my pc: AMD phenom x4 965 3.2GHz.

8GB ram 1600Mhz (O.C.).

1Hdd 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB cache

1 R9 290 gigabyte 4GB DDR5
