I need help in choosing a compatible motherboard for the 7501
Hello. I have recently purchased an AMD Epyc 7501. I would like to know if this is compatible with the following motherboard: ASUS KRPA-U16. On the motherboard manufacturers website only generation 2 CPUs are listed for compatibility.

Hello ntts‌,
To confirm, you would need to double check with ASUS. But if their website says it only supports the EPYC 7002 Series processor then the EPYC 7501 will not work. There will be at a minimum different BIOS required.

Hello,
ASUS support has confirmed that the board does not support Naples CPUs, which is quite a shame, and very strange considering that KNPA is older and only needs a BIOS update to support Rome. That's the way it is though, thank you.
