Let me clarify my point before you label me a lunatic for asking such a question. At high resolutions (1440p and 4K), the 4080 and 4090 are clearly bottlenecked by last generation CPUs (Ryzen 5000, Intel 12th generation). At 1440p 144Hz, I'm playing.
The 7900 XTX is on my wish list for next month. Nevertheless, I'm worried that when I pair it with my 5900X, it won't be able to reach its full potential, so only around 80% GPU utilization will be achieved.
The fact that my CPU is being trashed by the 5800X3D makes me regret not waiting for that model.
Do I really need to worry about my CPU affecting the 7900 XTX's potential? My only regret is that I bought it at this point in time.
