Modding the Lian-Li-X3D a bit further with more RGB; June 2024

There have been a few postings of new modding devices (as in RGB) noted in this forum recently.  I ordered a few parts and decided to add them to my Lian-Li-X3D build from July 2023.  Why this computer?  Well, it had a nice side panel window to show off the new RGB parts and it had an available ARGB port that I could use, once I bought a signal splitter.   So the two parts were an RGB EZDIY motherboard adapter and an Atlas RGB video card support from CoolerMaster.  Both parts were rather cheap on Amazon, as in $21 USD and $22 USD respectively.  I also had to order a pack of ARGB signal splitters for $8.00 USD since my motherboard's ARGB ports were used up from previous ARGB components.

I started by pulling out the existing GPU support post for my PowerColor RX 7900 XT GPU, and I installed the new CoolerMaster Atlas RGB video card support component with it's ARGB connection.  Then I installed the EZDIY motherboard RGB adapter and since it had it's own signal splitter for ARGB, I hooked it up to the CoolerMaster Atlas RGB video card support and thus I only used one of the three ARGB signal splitters I had bought for this project.  Since these are low power devices, you don't have to worry too much about power draw on one ARGB port from your motherboard.

I hope nobody notices the messy wiring in my Lian-Li-X3D build.

I have that 90 adaptor sitting in a box. lol. Plugged it in once and it took out all my rgbs.   Didn’t have time to mess with it but maybe I’ll throw it in my budget June build.

I did!

Sorry...

You got skill with stuff, I know it.

Why not paint that shinny metal with black paint and create a PSU shroud to hide the mess?

I wanted to do that with my old Corsair 450d, never did because... well at this point I might as well say...

I'm too tired and too lazy to change the case. Need vacations from the kid lol

I kind of like the look of bare aluminum, as it reflects light.  This case can serve as an example of cable management that hasn't been started.  It can only get better.
