Portal Light not working in Maya

Hi good day to you, I love the Radeon ProRender but my current problem is the Portal light setting, it is grayed out and just can't seem to find a workaround to access it.  I am using Maya 2018.

Sure I can help. What's happening is RPR is looking for Geometry/Mesh but

it is getting particles instead so what you should do is; a) Go to your

outliner and select bifrosliquid1 b) open the attributes for it (Ctrl + a)

c) Go to liquidShape1 tab, then go down to Bifrost Meshing category and

select the check box to enable it.

Hi,

About light portals i can confirm this issue and sent this information to the developers. not sure when we will have a solution for it at this time.

Sheldonbh is correct about Bifrost we must use the Meshing settings to render bifrost.
