Our last quarterly AMD Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise driver of 2019, 19.Q4, is now available with optimized performance versus the competition in leading professional applications1 and support for our latest professional graphics card, the just-released AMD Radeon™ Pro W5700 workstation GPU. The 19.Q4 driver also continues to prove the value of updating your professional drivers, with higher one-year performance gains than our competition2 and additional Day Zero certifications.
Support for the New Radeon Pro W5700
Launched this week, the Radeon Pro W5700 is the world’s first 7nm professional PC workstation graphics card, built on the new RDNA architecture and powered by Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise.
Our software helps the Radeon Pro W5700 deliver outstanding performance while multitasking, with up to 5.6x the application workflow performance with a heavy CPU load running in the background versus the competition3. Additionally, Radeon Pro Software’s intelligent power usage, when combined with the efficient RDNA architecture, enables up to 18% overall better system power consumption in real-world 3D design workflows when using the Radeon Pro W5700 versus the NVIDIA Quadro RTX™ 40004.
Optimized Performance for Leading Professional Applications
By upgrading your Radeon Pro graphics card’s driver to Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q4, you can improve your productivity by taking advantage of the outstanding performance versus the competition in some of the most popular professional applications, in both design and manufacturing and media and entertainment.
Design and Manufacturing Workflows
When using the Radeon™ Pro WX 2100 with our 19.Q4 driver, designers can expect up to 25% better performance in SOLIDWORKS® 2019 versus the NVIDIA Quadro® P400 running the NVIDIA Quadro® Optimal Driver for Enterprise (ODE) R430 U7 (431.94)5. For Siemens NX™ 10 workflows, the Radeon™ Pro WX 7100 running the 19.Q4 driver is up to 11% faster than the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 with the R430 U7 (431.94) driver6.
Media and Entertainment Workflows
3d artists and content creators can expect to see up to 25% better performance in Autodesk® Maya® 2017 workflows when using the Radeon Pro WX 2100 with the 19.Q4 driver versus the NVIDIA Quadro P400 running the R430 U7 (431.94) driver7, and up to 11% better performance in Autodesk 3ds Max® 2015 workflows when using the Radeon™ Pro WX 3200 and the 19.Q4 driver versus the NVIDIA Quadro® P620 running the R430 U7 (431.94) driver8.
One-Year Performance Improvements
Along with the competitive performance optimizations our 19.Q4 driver delivers, Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise boosts your productivity over the lifetime of your Radeon Pro GPU when you keep your driver up to date, thanks to the continuous performance improvements in every driver release.
When you compare our one-year performance gains to the competition (when compared over the families of current AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards), in 2019 AMD delivered up to 7% better overall annual improvements when tested with SPECviewperf® 13 whereas our competition delivered NO improvement over the same one-year period. In fact, when compared to the NVIDIA Quadro® Optimal Driver for Enterprise (ODE) R410 U3 (411.81), the R430 U7 (431.94) driver is up 1% slower using the same test2.
Day Zero Certification Leadership
On the first anniversary of our Day Zero Certification Program (launched in 2018 with our 18.Q4 driver) we’ve been able to deliver over 1200 Day Zero ISV application certifications since the program launched9, and ensured that the Radeon Pro W5700 was certified on some of the leading Autodesk applications for its launch day (the first day of the annual Autodesk University event), including Autodesk 3ds Max, AutoCAD®, Inventor®, Maya, and Revit®10.
