Ryzen 7 7700X Latency Spikes causing Audio Drop outs

hi, i have had an issue with my PC for a while now since i built it 1 week ago, I have had constant Latency issues causing the system to completely Turn off when playing games, or randomly on the desktop. Audio hiccups / Skips when kernel Latency Spikes into 50k+.

I managed to stop my System crashing by disabling ALL Audio devices like Realtek and AMD which Severely reduced my DPC Latency across the board, but the kernel timer Latency is still causing constant audio problems which is infuriating.

I have tried putting PCIE4 into PCIE3 mode, turning off AMD SAM (smart Access Memory), Setting DDR5 to 4800Mhz instead of EXPO profile of 6000Mhz, Which the RAM is rated for and is on the motherboard Vendors list.

All drivers + Bios are fully updated,

i have set the Graphics card to Priority High on MSI Util v3 as well as the NVME Controller.

I have disabled CPU Core parking and have the CPU minimum State at 5%, maximum 100, Setting Minimum to 100 made zero difference.

I have tested the RAM including 1 stick at a time and done all the windows integrity tests and zero issues found.

I am using Razer Nommo PRO USB Speakers.

I have tested the PSU and all voltages are fine during stress tests.

I'm literally pulling my hair out with this issue as it does not even say what is causing the Kernel Timer Latency's., I have installed windows 11 twice and Windows 10. Nothing helped.

i have also put windows into Ultimate Performance mode and turned off ALL USB Suspension settings. no luck.

I'm running the latest bios for my Motherboard and installed the network drivers before everything else as my Motherboard manual states.

REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted and blocked from execution.

NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.

Process with highest pagefault count: radeonsoftware.exe

Total number of hard pagefaults 12143

Hard pagefault count of hardest hit process: 2316

Number of processes hit: 69

so the issue has now been fixed, after more settings changes that didnt really do much, I unplugged the pc and pulled out the CMOS battery for 30+Minutes and booted WITHOUT the battery first as i forgot to put it back in after putting GPU back, (as it covers the battery) no hiccups or latency issues, Turned off, put battery back and it's been running without a single hiccup or latency spike since, been 3 days so far. =]
So good to finally be able to use it.

an update to this as the dxgkrnl.sys has also been spiking to 38553.710. causing stuttering in games.

Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One or more DPC routines that belong to
a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.
LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for 0:17:02 (h:mm:ss) on all processors.

i take it nobody know's what could be causing this? Surely AMD must have a record of these issues for the AM5 chipsets, Given that the issue is practically rendering my PC Useless due to the unpredictable restarts and crashes.

Have you tested without using USB sound/speakers, and playing with High Priorites can cause issues it's not a method that really recommended/required on win10 or win11.

Ryzen 5900X PBO/OC, Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite F37 bios, Arctic Freezer II 420 AIO, Fans: 3x140mm 2x120mm, 24 GB G.Skill DDR4-3600 18-20-20-40 1T, CM MWE V2 1050w, Gigabyte G32QC A 1440p, PowerColor RedDevil RX 6950XT OC.

Hi, I just own a 7700x on an asrock b650 pg board with 32gb memory and have the same sound problems on w10 as you did, I've done everything you described but haven't done the battery, I would like to know if the problem has returned or is it ok now?

Same issue here...

I admire myself for not breaking 2500 euros brand new machine to pieces. I was looking into the deepest depths of the internet for every possible solution (update drivers, bios, registry tweaks, Win 11 settings, power management disabling, etc...). And I still didn't find a solution for random stuttering, sound hiccups, and latency issues. To make this even more difficult, I cannot figure out the pattern when and why it happens. When I turn the PC it boots up with latency so high that the PC is barely usable. After restart it boots up and works with blazing speeds and not a single problem at all. So every start is like a lottery which drives me insane.

All I know is that WDF01000.SYS, DirectX 12 and Nvidia libraries are the main cause of latency problems when it happens.
