Ryzen 5 5500u ideapad 3 no display/ black screen

Around last year May, my laptop screen decided to go blank/ black on me out of the blue. At first, I thought, "No biggie, I got this," since I'd dealt with tech issues before. But this time, none of my usual tricks worked. Looking back, I probably should've gotten it checked out when it first happened, nevertheless I turned to YouTube for some tech support.

I tried all sorts of things – took out the battery, the CMOS battery, and even messed with the RAM, but no luck. I also tried to find a new CPU that matched my laptop's specs, but it was like searching for a needle in a haystack. Fast forward a whole year, and I'm on a mission to resurrect this laptop. Anyone got any tips or advice to share?

It seems that the issue of a black screen on a Lenovo Ideapad 3 with a Ryzen 5 5500u processor is not uncommon. Some users have reported similar issues with their laptops, and there are several potential solutions to try.
One possible solution is to perform a hard reset of the laptop by removing the battery and holding down the power button for 60 seconds before reconnecting the battery and power cord. Another solution is to update the BIOS to the latest version. Some users have also reported success by disabling the fast startup feature in Windows 10.
If these solutions do not work, it may be necessary to contact Lenovo support or take the laptop to a repair shop to diagnose and fix the issue.
