I have a Ryzen 5 2600 with stock cooler that I can’t seem to over lock. I have an MSI X570 edge WiFi MB with 16 GB RAM (DDR4 3200mhz) and an RTX 2070. PSU is a new Corsair 750W. When idle, my CPU temp is around 41-43 degrees and I have no issues.
im using AMD’s Master Utility and I created a new ‘profile’ to overclock to 4.1 Gigahertz with 1.425 volts. I saved and applied and tested.
the first time I tried this the cpu temps reached almost 79 degrees before ‘successfully completing’. After the test I loaded up Metro Exodus and the system locked up.
I then rebooted and tried the overlock in the Master Utility again but when I hit apply/test my system locked up again.
any suggestions?
