Phenom II x6 1050T BSOD

I recently purchased this processor (95W version) and I run into BSODs while playing certain games. On my old X4 955 BE with overclock these games ran fine.

Games where BSODs happen:

  • Sundered (first zone logical puzzle)
  • Assassin's Creed 4

In more CPU-intensive games there are no BSODs, so I assume it is not overclock issue, but rather some kind of incompatibility.

What could cause it and is there a way to fix it?

OS: Windows 7 64bit.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-790XT-USB3

Overclock: 3500 without auto boost (250 bus, x14 multiplier), 1.45V, NB and HT 2200 both, memory 667.

Good cooler keeps temperature far from critical, it does not exceed 50 degrees.

Try YouTube with “assassin's creed 4 bug” or bsod.

I would reset BIOS back to "default" so as to stop all Overclocking in the  BIOS Settings and see if you continue to get BSODs. If it stops then that would indicate the Overclocking was the reason for the BSODs.

Note: I believe you meant a Phenom II x 6 1055T
