My AMD A8-5600k processor overheats rapidly on startup

I recently bought a mobo (Gigabyte Ga-F2a68hm-s1 rev 1.1) then tested it with my AMD A8-5600k processor but upon entering bios in just 1 minute my processor's temp rapidly reaches 91 degrees celsius then my pc automatically shuts down.What's the possible problem then how do i fix it?Please help.

Sound like your CPU Cooler is either not installed correctly or is defective.

Is the CPU Cooler fan running when you boot up?

The CPU Cooler should be tightly secured and even to the surface of the processor with a little dab of Thermal paste. The fan should be running maximum when the computer boots up.
