CPU EPYC 72F3 error 0x22

Hello,

I would to ask about this problem.

I have server ASUS RS500A-E11-RS12U with BIOS MILAN 1504 and CPU EPYC 72F3

Booting process ends with error 22. It was tested on two motherboards.

From manual: PSP Boot loader phase: error 0x22 PSP directory entry not found

The remote management BMC module detects the processor EPYC 72F3 correctly.

Thank you very much for your comments.

Hello,

The error 0x22 you’re encountering during the booting process of your ASUS RS500A-E11-RS12U server with an EPYC 72F3 CPU indicates a problem related to the PSP (Platform Security Processor) Boot loader phase, where a PSP directory entry is not found. This error can be quite specific and technical, often related to the firmware or the configuration of the hardware components.

Here are a few steps you might consider to troubleshoot this issue:

Firmware Update: Ensure that your server’s BIOS is up to date. Since you’ve mentioned BIOS MILAN 1504, check if there’s a newer version available that might address this error.

BIOS Configuration: Review the BIOS settings to ensure that all necessary options for the CPU and memory are correctly configured. Sometimes, enabling or disabling certain settings can resolve boot errors.

Hardware Check: Since the error persists across two motherboards, it’s less likely to be a motherboard issue.

However, double-check all connections and components, including RAM and any expansion cards, to ensure they are seated correctly and are compatible.

I hope the information may helps you.
