Few days ago I upgraded from an i5-4670k w/ Asrock z87 extreme4 motherboard to a 7700x w/ Gigabyte Aorus Elite Ax motherboard w/ F3h (12/29/22) bios, Windows 10 Enterprise. One thing I haven't been able to figure out yet is, do these new Amd cpus have any kind of feature like Intel's speed step? I remember years ago, before I had the i5, there was a "cool n quiet" feature. But I haven't found anything in the bios relating to this. Using the balanced power plan in Windows, min processor state is set to 0%, I thought 5% was the default? Don't know how that changed, either setting doesn't make a difference. CPU-Z shows a multiplier range of 4.0-55.5, but I've never seen it drop below 36.0, thus, I haven't seen the cpu drop below 3.6ghz.
