My 5950 has been running well for a couple of years. But recently I've noticed core 0 & 1 are running at 35-45%  and all others are at 0, occasionally. I check the task manager frequently and have noticed that under details (task manager) "system idle process" is at 99 under CPU. I've read online this isn't an issue.  Overall in the process under task manager the CPU is 2%. Never gave all this to much thought until core temperatures were running at 56C but are normally at 46C. Much to do about nothing maybe, but I thought I'd post for the first to get in on the action before I start my next build. Thanks

So if you run some freeware benchmark program like cinebench R20 or R23, how are temps, scores and core usage?

And you have not changed core affinity and forgot it? I once did some testing with 3.7GHz/undervolting on my CPU and simply forgot it. I only noticed it when running some benchmark. Did not even notice while gaming.

I'll check the affinity. Been awhile since the build & tinkering with the bios.
