I originally bought the Ryzen 5 3600, updated the bios to work with my motherboard. Well I want to upgrade to the Ryzen 3900x for better video editing rendering times. Will I be able to just install the new processor since my bios is already updated to work with the Ryzen 5 3600?

CPU list show Ryzen 3900x supported with at least bios version 7B85v17, so if you have newer version, it's supposed working well.

I use an X570 which runs the Ryzen 3000 series much better and it is materially faster for video editing
