PC Specs:
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor
MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard
I just built a new gaming PC and am learning about overclocking and to get some direct experience I'm playing around with the different preset profiles available to me through my bios and Ryzen Master. I am curious within these settings, what is contributing to one profile showing stable processor speeds (attached) versus another profile where the speeds are dynamic, going between 3,800 - 4,375 ghz (attached)? In my mind, I'm thinking one setting is telling the CPU to stay at a stable level of performance and another lets it fluctuate within a certain band.
Again I'm curious, if my general understanding is correct, what a new user would look for when building an overclock profile to know if settings would be stable or if the CPU would operate within a defined range.
Thank you.
