What's a recommended fan curve for a Ryzen 7700 ?

Hi everyone,

My 7700 is being cooled by a Noctua NH-D15, on a gigabyte x670 gaming x ax mb.

Since these cpus have their normal operating temperature above 90C, my fans are kind of always making a racket even when cpu utilisation is at around 15-20%, because i think the fans are trying to keep them at maybe around 50C

What fan curve do you recommend using to lower the noise, and btw, the cpu is running in eco mode.

CPU TempFAN Speed
40 Celsius 40%
50 Celsius 50%
60 Celsius 60%
70 Celsius 70%
80 Celsius 80%
90 Celsius 100%

This fan curve will keep your CPU cool and quiet, even under heavy load. It is important to note that this is just a recommendation, and you may need to adjust it slightly depending on your specific case and cooling setup.

Here are some tips for using this fan curve:

  1. Make sure that your fans are properly installed and oriented.
  2. Check your CPU temperatures regularly to make sure that the fan curve is keeping your CPU cool enough.
  3. If you find that your CPU is getting too hot, you can increase the fan speed or adjust the fan curve accordingly.

Here are some additional tips for reducing fan noise:

  • Use low-noise fans.
  • Make sure that your case has good airflow.
  • Use a fan controller to adjust the fan speed manually.
  • If you are still having problems with fan noise, you may need to consider upgrading your CPU cooler.
  • The Noctua NH-D15 is a great cooler, but it is also quite large.
  • If you have a small case, you may need to choose a smaller cooler.
