ive been trying to get support from adobe about this but it seems to be a much slower process than id like.
i have a ryzen 9 5950x, a friend of mine has a ryzen 9 5900x
both of these processors lag within premiere pros UI... nothing else. and the ui is the only part thats single threaded.
im unsure to why but it seems that its lagging the heck out of premiere pro. the adobe engineer said hes using a 3900x and its not having the same issues but i cannot confirm this.
another thing to note is. when i zoom in on the timeline and get said lag on the ui. 2 cores seem to spike up. core 2 AND core 6 (my windows prefered core on CCD 0)
maybe its splitting things up when it shouldnt be? but surely core 2 and core 6 are just threads of the 1 core.
unsure to why this is happening. ive tried a lot of things over 2 whole new systems. bios updates. driver updates. 2 clean installs. everything and to no avail.
