Hi,

I want to buy Threadripper 2950X on motherboard ASUS ROG STRIX X399-E GAMING.

Does running 2 dual channel ( DDR4 2x8GB 3200MHz Kingston HyperX Fury CL18,HX432C18FB2K2/16GB )x2 kits VS 1 quad channel kit make a difference?

Working in 3ds Max - vray.

igorvucelic, the HW may not know the difference.  The purpose of quad kits is to have four matched sticks and I strongly recommend it!  I know nothing about your suggested memory but I feel I must recommend G.Skill.  If your get an AMD kit for Ryzen and with Samsung B-Chips, I think you have arrived.  Enjoy, John.

Yes, kits are binned to work as a unit...combining  two dual channel kits to form a quad channel kit is not guaranteed to work as you might otherwise suppose.

As has been stated, get a single quad channel kit of G.Skill ram qualified for the board..preferably Samsung B die.
