hey guys,

i just build a pc with a ryzen 7 3700x. so i tried to play a youtube video on 8k but it doesnt seem to really work. its laggy and keeps buffering. on the other hand i have another pc with a ryzen 5 3600 but it is working just perfect on that one. also when i start the 8k video the usage in task manager shows 100% on the ryzen 7 3700x. i cant understand why and hope you guys can help me.

What browser are you using on each computer?

Is hardware acceleration enabled on each computer?

Chrome on both and i do not have that enabled nor do i know what it is. So base ryzen 7 should be better then te 3600 but i dont get it

It's an option in Chrome that allows it to pass some of the workload on to the GPU.

You find it in Chrome at Settings>Advanced>System.

The 3700X should be faster than the 3600 in multi core tasks by quite a lot, assuming you can keep it cool enough.

Havent done that either just all stoch all base 3600 vs 3700x and the 3600 did better on youtube 8k video. Thats what i dont get
