In 2016, I constructed a gaming rig for NMS using an i7-6700K processor and, ultimately, a GTX-1080Ti graphics card. The complexity of NMS has increased over time, and I have come to believe that I am CPU-limited (1080Ti = 2070 Super, NMS ignores raytracing hardware).
So I bought a Ryzen 7 7700X, an ASUS B650-A ROG Strix board, and 32GB of DDR5 to replace the motherboard, CPU, and RAM. Windows and the utilities were successfully installed, but when I run NMS, the intro sequence begins VERY SLOWLY (like after 45 seconds), and when I exit to the desktop, the game stalls and I have to stop the process.
Is there a secret to successfully operating an AMD-CPU system?
