Hello AMD Community,
I am planning to purchase new Ryzen 9 9900X with Asus ProArt X870E-CREATOR WIFI or Asus ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI.
Need to use a large amount of RAM in my work (128GB+), and its volume and overall stability of the system are more important than ultra high speed characteristics.
Will the system work with any of these memory modules?
- G.Skill F5-5200J4040A48GX2-FX5 (Flare X5, DDR5-5200 CL40-40-40-83 1.10V, 96GB (2x48GB), AMD EXPO) x 2
- G.Skill F5-5600J4040D48GX2-FX5 (Flare X5, DDR5-5600 CL40-40-40-89 1.25V 96GB (2x48GB) AMD EXPO) x 2
Is it even possible to combine two sets of the same memory to get a total of 192GB?
Or do I need to purchase a 128GB set of 4 modules?
Will the system work stably and how much will the memory performance decrease be (up to JEDEC instead of XMP)?
Sorry for the possibly strange questions, I also used the Intel platform for a long time and there were no particular problems with using the maximum amount of memory supported by the CPU memory controller
