Ryzen 9 7900X3D - Idle Temps and Clocks. Weird or Normal?

Hello guys!

I'm joining AMD with one 7900X3D (after Intel life).
And a few things are getting my attention, and I don't know if it is normal or not. Can you help me?

I think what is getting my attention is the IDLE state on this processor.

When in IDLE it keep using constantly 60+W and the Clocks from 4.0 to 5Ghz. (and the temps stays around 50-55C in IDLE)  -  In games I think it's pretty good temps. 60-65C in heavy games, and on Cinebench stays around 65-69C)
For me it is a bit weird, because with Intel, when in IDLE, the clocks go to 800Mhz or 2Ghz to save energy and keep it cool.

For cooling, I'm using a Corsair H150i Elite (AIO 360mm) with a Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. The mounting brackets I tied up (but not at the point the screwdriver don't turn anymore...it's correct, right)
and the Motherboard is a Asus ROG Strix B650E-E

I already tried the Curve in PBO to -20, but I don't see much difference!!

Thanks guys!

Hi,
Can't say for the X3D but idle temps are moderate maybe because of CPU usage?

Have a look of what is using the CPU.

You can lower CPU minimum processor state, but for me in a 7950X they won't drop more than 2100Mhz and normally they will hoover more between 3500-5500 at sub 40ºC idle and 50ºC ish while doing some stuff.

You can try undervolting by offset, try -0.1 and check stability with some stress testing.
Here's a handy tutorial that will start right where you need.

The remainder temperatures at gaming are great, no issues there.

Thanks for the Video. I'll take a look.

About the usage. its nothing running, the usage is around 1 to  3%.  (with my previous I7 the IDLE was always 12% hehehe)

Thanks again.
