Ryzen 9 7900 (non-x) not detecting after initial post - new build

Hi,

i Just got new parts for my pc build (mobo, cpu, ram, and cooler) and after setting all the parts it booted/posted fine and was greeted to the bios interface. Was relieved thinking that it posted and everything was working fine so i shut down the pc so that i could continue to install windows later. However, about 6hrs later when i switched on the pc it never posted and the motherboard was showing the error led for 'DRAM' (Do note that before switching on the pc for the second time i had to install the m.2 ssd as i initially forgot).

Had been trouble shooting/eliminating to see which part was the culprit as it was strange to not post after it initially posted successfully. Below is the list of some methods i tried,

Tried almost all RAM configs (switching ram slots etc)

Reseating cpu

Reseating cooler

CMOS battery reset

Flashing new BIOS firmware's

Unplugging gpu and connecting through igpu

Unplugging/Plugging cables etc.

At last luckily i have a friend who has the exact same build so we switched the RAM's (as the mobo's DRAM light was lit) still no post so we exchanged the cpu and voila my pc posted with his cpu (7800x3d) and unfortunately my friends pc didn't post with my cpu.

So what did actually go wrong with my cpu as it was a brand new one and it initially posted as well??!!!

Thank You.
