I have recently bought a Ryzen 7 5700. I read from sources online that this CPU supports only PCIe 3.0. However, in the product's box, it says it is PCIe 4.0.

Is that just a print mistake or did I get lucky?

Hard to say, Fallenmcdc. Some specifications say 3.0 and some say 4.0 on the AMD web site. Also there is an AMD Radeon RX 5700 Video card which just confuses us more. Please contact AMD here. Enjoy, John.

That's exactly the table I had seen, and the reason why I was confused by the label informing it is PCIe 4.0

Hello as i read on internet it ineed support PCIE 4.0(if motherboard support it ofc) also worth Mention Ryzen 7 5700X also supports Pcie 4.0 which is just 5700 without x but "unlocked" cpu u can easly bring performance on par with version X just by setting motherboard power limits.

The Ryzen 5700 and 5700G processors are based on the Cezanne die which only supports PCIe 3.0 - the difference is the 5700G has integrated graphics and the 5700 does not.

The Ryzen 5700X uses Vermeer architecture which does support PCIe 4.0

Might be like this but then why its PCIE 4.0 stated? i check other CPUS brand new they also state PCIE 4.0 in specs. It can be AMD relase refreshed version of 5700?

Search on 5700, scroll to the right, the only 5700 processors listed that are PCIe 4.0 are the 5700X and 5700X3D which are Vermeer. Processors based on Cezanne or Lucienne only support PCIe 3.0

I thoroughly checked the authenticity of the product following the link, and everything is in order. Due to that I am disregarding the "4.0 PCIe" on the label as a print error.

Please post a screenshot of CPU-Z once you have that processor in a system, it will be interesting to see what it indicates.
