I have an MSI Tomahawk B450 motherboard. Previously I was using a Ryzen 2600 CPU but I recently upgraded to a 5600. I made sure to update the bios beforehand but the new CPU wouldn't provide an input to the monitors. The old 2600 still works fine. I also tested out a 5700G which also didn't work.
Hi
MP34, where are your monitors connected? The 5600 has no built in graphics and requires a video card. See here. Enjoy, John.
My monitors are connected to my video card, it's a Radeon 580. The signal works fine with the 2600.
MP34, I need some information. Please post all your parts. Thanks and enjoy, John.
MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory
XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition OC 8 GB GDDR5
Corsair TX550M Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
Corsair Carbide Series 200R ATX Mid Tower Case
Apologies if I've missed anything out.
MP34, I am concerned about your power supply. Did you add memory or video card with the new processor? If you can borrow a more powerful PS, please give it a try. Thanks and enjoy, John.
No, I didn't change anything else about my system. The wattage on both CPUs are the same too. I should also have extra wattage left over, I'm nowhere near the maximum for my PSU.
Just to confirm, you're using 7C02v3D (2022-04-20) or newer?
The one I downloaded from this website (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-TOMAHAWK/support) was 7C02v1I
