I’m curious how the boosting works as it’s 2.1GHz base clock and 4GHz max boost clock.
I have a laptop with an AMD A8-5550M, that does boost up to 3.1GHz except before I used the AMD OverDrive application it was never going above 2.1GHz. Is that expected or what because I did notice significant performance increase going to capped at 2.1GHz to being general around 2.7GHz.
Is that something I should expect on the R5 5500u? If so, is there anyway to actually let it boost to 4GHz?
