Ryzen 5 5500 weirdness

Hi

I have a Ryzen 5 5500 and windows insists on installing and listing no less than 6 - 8 AMD High Definition Audio HDMI devices, not a clue why as i never had that with the 2600.  also since i installed this cpu i have issues with usb headsets as all overlays when active cause audio stuttering, never had this with the 2600 either.

using latest drivers, fresh installs tried, windows 10 and 11 same issues.

spec of system

asus b450 f gaming mainboard

ryzen 5 5500

16GB corsair vengeance

nvidia rtx 3060ti

example of issue recorded, this is with steam but does this with just about any overlay too

To address multiple AMD High Definition Audio HDMI devices appearing in Windows, you can disable or hide these devices in the Windows Sound settings. Secondly, for audio stuttering with USB headsets when overlays are active, you can try updating audio and USB drivers, adjusting power management settings, disabling audio enhancements, disabling exclusive mode, and temporarily disabling overlays to troubleshoot the issue.

just figured it out in the last half hour, the cpu is having issues with this board, changed cpu to 3600 and all issues are resolved, i will hold onto the cpu and get a replacement board from a different brand, thanks any way for the assist.

will avoid asus mainboards in the future
