Dear gent,
I encounter an issue when installing a new processor in my configuration.
I'm installing a Ryzen 5 5500 (replacing an old Ryzen 1400) on a Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H-V2 (I didn't check the BIOS version...)
And when I start the computer nothing happend (except that the CPU and case fan start) no POST BIOS sound, no GPU fan starting.
At the installation time I cleand up the case with a can of compressed gas but it wasn't so dusty.
I tryed to start with the old CPU (Ryzen5 1400) and as I posting right now on this forum, it means that I was albe to start my computer (it could also be posted on another device, but it was posted on the CP that have the issue, so it means the motherboard is still alive)
What did you advice for this kind of issue ?
Regard
Solved! Go to Solution.
You need BIOS version F54 to support the Ryzen 5 5500 in that board.

Make sure to follow the special instructions if upgrading from an old BIOS version using F32 as an interim step.
AomeKinji, go to your MB Vendor site and download the required BIOS, if any, and install it. Your MB may not even sup[port the new processor. John.

Thank you !
I didn't check the BIOS version, it was in F32.
I did it via (at)BIOS (Gigabyte utilities).
