You must have this version of BIOS on your motherboard to support your Ryzen APU: Support For A320M PRO-E | Motherboard - The world leader in motherboard design | MSI Global
Here is the BIOS Version that supports the Ryzen 3rd generation processors including yours: Support For A320M PRO-E | Motherboard - The world leader in motherboard design | MSI Global
Your motherboard's Original BIOS Version was 7A36vH0. If you purchased your motherboard before July 1st 2019 then it will have the wrong BIOS version installed.
Also make sure your RAM MEMORY is listed on MSI QVL LIST For your motherboard.
If you have the wrong BIOS version installed you will need to get an older CPU and install it to update your BIOS to the one that will support the new Processors. Unless the Motherboard has the special BIOS feature where you can update the BIOS using a USB Flash drive without a processor installed as some of the new more modern Motherboard have.
Otherwise, you can have the BIOS updated from the place your purchased it, Use an older CPU Processor, take it to a computer shop to have it updated, or try and see if you qualify for AMD BOOT KIT from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100
The A320 boards are not compatible with the Ryzen 3000 series processors, you will need either a different CPU or different motherboard.
The B450 boards are more flexible and that would be a big improvement over the bottom of the line A320
`Can you clarify that the A320 are not compatible with 3rd generation processors when the Motherboard manufacturer itself shows that it is compatible with the correct BIOS version installed?
If it wasn't compatible then why even list it on the CPU Compatibility list on the Motherboard Support site.
I would have agreed with you in the past about 3rd generation CPU not being compatible with the A320 series motherboards. I even gave a reply saying the same thing you mentioned by linking a previous thread from kingfish showing it wasn't compatible. But all the articles I have found was from May 2019 and earlier saying it wasn't compatible. But afterwards you don't see any more articles mentioning being incompatible. If BIOSTAR made 3rd generation compatible motherboards in May,2019 then I presume that other Motherboard manufacturers have also.
But it seems as early as May, 2019 BIOSTAR had a 3rd generation A320 Motherboard that will support 3rd generation processors: Biostar publishes list of 3rd Gen Ryzen-compatible motherboards and reveals "AMD Ryzen 3000 Desktop ...
This Tech site from May 2019 lists all of ASRock motherboards (Also mentions that Asus Motherboards will also be compatible) that are going to be backwards compatible including the A320 motherboards: AMD Ryzen 3000 Series CPU Backwards Compatibility Confirmed on All Current AM4 Boards
there may be some vendors who are supporting that
Did the problem solved? If yes, how?
Hi,
You need to install an old cpu like A8-9600 which will boot your system. Then Install latest bios version, reinstall 3200g.
System should now boot.
