Ryzen 5 5500 5°C Above Maximum Operating Temperature?
Good day,
I have an R5 5500. Whenever I run a stress test or benchmark on the processor, the temperature reaching 95°C exceeds the Max Operating Temperature (Tjmax) of 90° C. It does not seem normal for a 5500 to go over that. I'm using Gigabyte A520m-DS3H motherboard in my current setup. Am I missing something? Is my processor defective? Thanks!

I don't have a method for reducing that temperature, but Derbauer just did a video on a similar issue:
One of the comments mentioned that 95 C is the max safe operating temperature, but that just means the system should throttle at that point. In his video, the CPU was getting all the way to 115 C. According to that comment, that's the thermal shutdown temperature and the system shut down. As just a normal person, I can't vouch for any of that.
