I just built a new gaming PC a couple of months ago and everything was fine. Then just the other day I noticed my fans were getting really loud at start up. That's when I noticed my CPU was at 70C on start up. I tried cleaning and reapplying new thermal paste but it didn't make any difference. All my settings are stock. I haven't changed anything because honestly I haven't had a reason to.
Motherboard is ASUS TUF Gaming B450M-plus with BIOS updated
CPU Ryzen 5 3600
Not sure anything else matters but I have 2 sticks of G.SKILL Ripjaws V series DDR4 8Gb mem (16 Gb total), RX 5600 XT Sapphire GPU, 1Tb SSD Corsair M2 and CoolMaster 550 PSU.
I've touched the stock AMD CPU cooler and it feels cool to the touch. I think the problem might be the CPU is reporting the wrong temperature.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance.
