hi. i use ryzen 5 3400g and rx470 8gb (i think it's mining edition. it have only 1 dvi) and i want use ryzen graphic to second monitor my problem is my motherboard b550 gaming x v2 don''t support ryzen 5 3400g and 3200g there is any chance to use motherboard hdmi/dvi to use second monitor?

Driver timeouts occur when overclock crashes, try running the CPU at stock.
no its crushing my gpu software i never saw preoblem about my cpu now i installing new drivers and i think i dont need second monitor
According to Gigabyte CPU Support the B550 Gaming X V2 does support the Ryzen 5 3400G.
In Windows Device Manager under Display Adapters does R5 Radeon Graphics show up in addition to your RX 470 card?
nah i see only radeon (tm) rx 470 graphics
Check in the BIOS under Settings and IO to see if the integrated is disabled.
now i checked it and i have option auto/force/disable
if i have auto everything is working propery but when i changed it to force 2 monitors is working but after ~3minutes my main monitor start bliking very fast to white on second i saw information about crashed driver
What driver version are you using? Both the 3400G R5 Radeon Graphics and the RX 470 should be capable of using the same driver.
oh i using adrenalin 24.3.1
and ryzen master to oc my cpu

after download first what i see its this same error what before

In my HTPC I have a 3400G in an X370 board with stock CPU clock and +200 GPU clock (1600MHz) using Adrenalin 24.3.1 and never get driver timeout.
when i writing with u i can ask one more question if u mind me ansewer.
when i playing shooters like cs2,valorant i see my fps i balacing about 100-120 but with drops to 70 i turned on monitoring and i saw my gpu usege is jumoing from 2-70% whatever i doing in game
I don't game much on my 3400G it is used mostly for streaming.
However if using it to game at lower resolutions and lower quality to get decent FPS it taxes the CPU more, and the 3400G is only a 4C/8T part, even though it has 11 Vega cores.
The 5700G for example has twice the CPU cores at 8C/16T, but only 8 Vega cores. But even with fewer graphics cores it still outperforms the 3400G because more CPU power is required at the low quality and resolution settings that these APUs can game at.
nah i speaking about phisical gpu rx 470 and utilization is jumping from 2 to 80%
Ah sorry, yes but what resolution and quality settings with your RX 470?
Using the 3400G for CPU only it's still only a 4C/8T processor of Zen+ generation with just 4MB of L3 cache. Compare that with a 3600X for example which is 6C/12T of Zen2 with 32MB of cache.
i using 1920 1080 and low quality its about 100-150fps but it droping rondomly to 2%usage and fps dropping to 60-70 often 30-40 and i can ask can i use igpu amd gpu at same time to got best results
If you're asking if the performance of the IGP and RX 470 can be combined then no. Used to be Hybrid Crossfire but that was 10-15 years ago.
i dont been here a long time bcs i dont have any problems but i today find a new one my drivers is crashing not randomly now i cant watching a video player but its not problem for me problem is blue screen while watching video player with reason about power_drivers......... when i watching player o have this same crash what i sent here i spend a 120$ to change mother board after it blew up after changing gpu and it still sont working just drivers
i today installed one more time adrenalin 24.3.1 but with minimalize download and now... it soo clean no bugs no glitches no blue screen
Hi Raquaez,
I've experienced this same issue for a long time, since late 2022, I think. In the same scenarios that you have mentioned, in Valorant and some games like that, I re-installed the drivers numerous times and re-installed the BIOS, among other things. I really gave up trying to solve this issue.
Due to personal situations, I left all these video games, so the issue did not present itself in my daily use of my PC, only when I had a lot of windows open. And sometimes, for no reason, half of my monitor would become black. But now, with some programming apps, I've experienced blue screens again. I'm going to try the minimal download; let's see if it works.
If someone is seeing this and I didn't come back, it probably worked for me too.
